Center for Puppetry Arts
Red or white? Let us pour you a glass while you hang out with the likes of Miss Piggy, Dr. Teeth and Big Bird. Cheers!
This season, we invite you to enjoy a series of special evenings for adults only. Puppets and Pinot will feature Glass Harp music performed live by Brien Engel. There will be beer and wine for purchase, light bites, bar games, and a chance to visit our Worlds of Puppetry Museum in a relaxed, child-free environment. What better way to spend the evening than with Muppets and music!
Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
Brien Engel is part of an exciting new community helping to revive and promote the enchanting art of glass music. His glass harp is comprised of goblets and snifters of various sizes, which he plays by carefully rubbing their rims with moistened fingers. He taught himself to play his first set in 1993, built on a summer trip to Olympia, Wa. His current instrument features 50 glasses and is one of the largest in the world.
