Live, Dynamic & Interactive!
Learn about folktales and meet Anansi the Spider, a favorite trickster folk hero from the country of Ghana in West Africa. Pictures, music, and movement exercises engage students in reenacting Anansi stories, as told through Gerald McDermont’s Caldecott-winning children’s book, Anansi the Spider, and a brilliantly-colored shadow puppet short film produced by the Center for Puppetry Arts. Explore cultural similarities and differences through foods of West Africa.
