Rod Puppet Construction 101
Thursday evenings April 8, 15, 22, 29 and May 6, 2010
from 7- 9 PM
Puppetry is a fun and engaging way to enhance student learning. This
course offers elementary, middle and high school teachers an opportunity
to explore the world of puppetry and learn techniques for hands-on puppet
making and how these special objects can be brought to life in the classroom
to complement thematic units across the curriculum. Course includes a
Museum tour and direct instruction in creating beautifully sculpted rod
puppets that you can have your students build to enhance English Language
Arts and Reading and/or Social Studies curriculum. This course has been
approved by the Georgia Department of Education for PLU credit.
Cost: $125.00 ($100 for Center Members)
PLU Credit: One (1) PLU
