Description
|
| This pre-Columbian figure is one of the oldest objects in the collection and are presumed to have taken part in shamanistic performances during religious rituals. It is a small male figure with closed eyes (or open with no pupils), a gaping mouth, and large ears with small, round indentions. His vase shaped body has virtually no neck and two thin stubs for legs. He has a hole on either side of his neck that would have held arms that could be articulated. This figure has been placed on a stand made of wood and plexi designed specifically for it. |
